How we work

Grades get a child shortlisted. The interview usually decides the offer.

The interview, practised properly

Leading schools want to see how a child thinks: how they handle a question they did not expect, defend a view, and talk about something they have read. We rehearse exactly that, with mock interviews modelled on each school, until answers sound natural rather than learned.

Straight advice, fixed fees

No honest adviser can promise a place, and we never do. You get a realistic view of which schools suit your child, prices agreed before we start, and no commissions from schools or agencies.

Two languages, one process

Parents can work with us entirely in Russian or English. Children prepare in English, the language of the interview, with someone who knows what British schools listen for.

Services & fees

I know what the interview feels like from the candidate's chair. Most advisers only know it from the other side.

Ivan is an Old Etonian, now reading Philosophy, Politics, Law and Economics at IE University in Madrid, which he chose for its focus on entrepreneurship and its international outlook. Form & Scholar is the first venture he has built alongside his degree. He is Russian and British, and works fluently in both languages.

As a candidate he sat the assessments and interviews for Eton, Westminster, St Paul's, City of London and King's College School, Wimbledon, and received offers from all five. He has since prepared younger pupils for school entrance, including one who went on to win a place at Haileybury.

Form & Scholar is built on that experience: helping children think clearly and speak with confidence when it matters, and giving parents an honest picture at every stage.

Questions parents ask

Before you get in touch

Can you guarantee a place?

No. Anyone who guarantees a place at a leading school is overselling. We improve your child's chances and give you a realistic picture throughout.

Which schools do you cover?

Leading boarding schools across the UK and the major London day schools, at 11+, 13+ and 16+ entry.

Where do sessions take place?

Online by video, so it makes no difference where you live. We schedule sessions around your family's time zone, whether that is London, Dubai or Moscow.

What language are sessions in?

Sessions with children are in English, the language of the interview. Everything with parents can be in Russian.
